huge campground, better in offseason be mindful some loops no cell service
Echo Valley Provincial Park的点评
点评：This is a mega huge campsite with alot of loops in a lovely setting of Qu'Appelle Valley. We spent three days in Lakeview loop B over a Friday to Monday. Nicest sites in our opinion are the three that are located in the furthest turn around 462 463 and they are away from the small side campsites in the rest of the loop where you can be bothered by very noisy campers to the wee hours and no way to contact park watch with no service that are packed in all around you. The Main shower building was nice but very dirty over the weekend.
Beware there is no cell service in this loop which makes it very difficult when you are going with others who are in different loops in different sites miles apart and you have to drive all the way at least 2 miles to the Aspen Loop for good service where our friends were staying in 240. Those sites are really big for sure and spaced out but not alot of privacy if that is what you like.
The condition of both beaches which again is another drive is very murky and green algae no way i was swimming. Kayaking was nice in the evening and we caught fish where Echo lake meets Pasqua lake its nice in there but extremely windy. the sand is pebbles and rocks not soft sand. Pit toilets all over were not the best and not looked after the best in our area the door was locked the whole time my husband wedged it open with a credit card
overall we would go back if we get the sites in the lower loop and go weekday off season maybe spring for better beach water? to avoid the weekend as well. We loved the closeness to Qu'Appelle and went in twice for supplies and the museum was good. loved the river bank area with the little bridge. there is a gas station close to the campground as well
