点评：The focal point of Monteroduni, the Castello Pignatelli, availed us of an historically interesting and culturally enlightening tour. There were a group of young volunteers who were eager and proud to show us an important part of the village's heritage. The tour included the history of the Pignatelli family, (a prince, a pope, and a saint), and their family's place in the castle history. The views from the ramparts overlooking the valley are extraordinary, and I hope they will be able to restore that one portion of the ceiling in the hall. A lovely experience in a nice village with welcoming people. We will return.
Il fulcro di Monteroduni, il Castello Pignatelli, ci ha offerto una visita guidata storicamente interessante e culturalmente illuminante. Un gruppo di giovani volontari era desideroso e orgoglioso di mostrarci una parte importante del patrimonio del borgo. La visita ha incluso la storia della famiglia Pignatelli (un principe, un papa e un santo) e il ruolo della loro famiglia nella storia del castello. La vista dai bastioni che dominano la valle è straordinaria e spero che riescano a restaurare quella parte del soffitto della sala. Un'esperienza incantevole in un grazioso borgo con gente accogliente. Torneremo sicuramente.
