芝加哥艺术博物馆的点评
点评：Only Members get to enter the museum between 10-11 AM. I discovered that buying the $40 “skip the line ticket” (which was only three dollars more than a general admission ticket) I was able to get in early also! General public isn’t allowed in until 11, so having an uncrowded hour to tour the museum was great and much less crowded.
The museum is quite grand, and for me, navigating it was very confusing, even with a map. Thankfully there are many kind docents available to guide you.
There is a “snack bar” (which is really more of a “coffee and dessert” bar) and a cafe in the museum. Prices are high, as it’s going to cost you $6 for a brownie, and $18-$20 for a sandwich.
They will let you take in your own bottled water, as long as it’s in a clear bag. They have drinking fountains with built-in bottle fillers that are quick and convenient!
Really beautiful place! Plan at least a few hours to see the many “standards” they have, like the giant Seurat titled “Sunday Afternoon on the Isle the Grand Jàtté.”
