点评:First and foremost, Callaway Gardens was absolutely lovely and Robin Beach was gorgeous. We spent most of the day on a Wednesday, and half the day on a Thursday, at Robin Beach. It was so peaceful and the sand was pristine. Our visit to the Butterfly Center was magical and, in its gift shop, Nancy and Tenille were quite pleasant and very helpful. The visit to the Discovery Center was quite unpleasant, however. We arrived just in time for the Birds of Prey show, but an employee directed us to the outdoor amphitheater, providing inaccurate directions. A second employee provided better directions to the outdoor amphitheater, but after we walked there, a sign informed us that the show had been moved inside the Discovery Center. When we walked all the way back to the Discovery Center, we stopped at the Information Desk for directions, but the employee was on the phone. (‘Kelley’ was the name displayed on the plate at the desk.) I understand that responding to telephone calls is a job duty, but basic customer service etiquette directs the employee to acknowledge the customer standing at the desk and inform the customer that they will be assisted momentarily. The employee continued her phone conversation and we, however, only received her peeved expression - no help. Finally, we gave up and continued our search, only to learn that the show was underway and we likely would not be allowed to enter. That was a very unpleasant end to an otherwise enjoyable visit to Callaway Gardens.
