点评:We try to view and support as many local and regional art museums as we can on our journeys. The Kunsmuseet in Haugesund is a small but lovely venue. The museum is a direct line up the street across from the Harald statue (keeping the park on your right). It is up a small rise from the street and is a little uneven, but quite accessible in a wheelchair. There is an admission charge, and about four or five galleries. There are two upper galleries one of which is only accessible by stairs, though the other has a small wheelchair lift. When we visited there was a special exhibit on traditional Norwegian dress, and one gallery was of monochrome prints. One gallery was a series of paintings from different Norwegian locations but each showing the moon at different points of its night journey. The staff members we encountered spoke very good English, and were helpful with the disability needs. There is a small cafe (more of a snack bar counter) and a few items for sale. There were also information sheets about exhibits in English available. It is a worthwhile stop if in the town.
