Western Maryland Scenic Railroad的点评
点评：So disappointing! First, hard to find any available parking spaces. More importantly, this was advertised as though we were going to take a ride on a beautiful old fashioned steam train, but instead it was more like a run down inner city subway train hitched to a prop that served as the “Steam engine” when it actually ran on diesel, and just happened to be above ground. The open coach section was so bad we had tiny pieces of charcoal blowing in and landing on our clothes the whole way. We had to wear masks so as not to breathe in the ashes. The cabin itself was like a cattle car. Hardly any scenery at all wit worth mentioning and the speed of the train was slower than a slow bicycle ride. Also advertised snacks available for purchase. Good luck with that. And why would they take us to the town of Frostburg that was described as small and charming but instead was dead as a door nail ? We arrived on a Sunday so was everything closed because of this or were all the small businesses actually out of business? We found one place open for lunch but had to find a bench outside the establishment to sit and eat it because all the other passengers from the train headed to the very same restaurant as it was literally the only option for anyone. I never write bad reviews because I know that people’s work hard at their jobs and I wouldn’t want a business to close because of something I said. But in this case I feel like warning the buyer is more important. At $55 per person for the coach section, this “attraction” is a complete ripoff for the consumer so I am compelled to warn others… Do not waste your time or money!
