点评:We have wanted to visit before but the attraction is only open during months when the butterflies are flying about, so we were pleased our trip coincided with butterfly season. We arranged a guide in English and visited in the morning.
There is a big car park and we paid for our tickets in the small but pleasant gift shop with various crafty butterfly gifts and things.
We were led into the large bright mesh enclosure which was full of flowers and winding gravel pathways, and lots of large and small butterflies fluttering about. We wandered around taking photos and admiring the beautiful butterflies for half an hour before an informative talk and guide by Yolanda, one of the butterfly sanctuary’s founders.
We were told about the life cycle and shown chrysalis’s with newly emerged butterflies, as well as the caterpillars who were yet to grow up.
After that we could enjoy the butterflies more and were then offered home-made lemonade.
Overall the visit was about an hour and a half, very relaxing and very beautiful with lots of photo opportunities.
