Cracking walk
Cautley Spout Waterfall的点评
点评：Parked near the temperance inn at cross keys (easily done at 10.30am on a sunny Sunday - still space).
The walk up to the top of the falls genuinely may be my favourite hill walk in England outside the Lake District. Not too far either (though steep up) and far fewer people than in the Lakes.
Once at the top I continued up to the Calf and then along the ridge to Arant Haw and Winder then down to pleasant Sedbergh and along thr valley back to the inn.
If I did it again, I'd probably turn back Arant Haw. Cautley Spout is the clear highlight of this circuit and in terms of the rounded grassy fells of this area Arant Haw presents the best views (better than the Calf i think).
But even if you aren't up for a longer walk, definitely worth coming just for the walk to the top of Cautley Spout, I think.
