点评：Founded in 1990, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County has become one of the largest museums in the western United States with one of the largest natural and cultural history collections in the world. Located at 900 Esposition Boulevardo in Los Angeles, in Esposition Park, next to the California Science Center, it features more than 35 million specimens and artifacts, some as old as 4.5 billion years. Stand face-to-face with a T. Rex, experience one of the most celebrated dinosaur collections in the world, uncover ancient fossils and learn how Los Angeles went from a tiny pueblo to a sprawling metropolis.. Open daily from 9:30 to 5, the museum also contains two halls of dioramas depicting animals from around the world and exhibits that explain the history of the planet, the history of film studios on Los Angeles and the world of cats through hands-on displays, specimens and immersive experiences. The Dinosaur Hall is the most popular attraction of all. Other exhibits include the Age of Mammals, Gem & Mineral Hall, Butterfly Pavilion, Bird Room, Reptile Room, Insect Zoo and Spider Pavilion.
