A Beach Like No Other!

点评：Fellsfjara is a truly remarkable sight, to stroll along a black volcanic sand beach is a truly amazing experience in its own right but to then have glacial ice washing up on it right in front of you is simply breathtaking.
In terms of the ice washing up this is a somewhat unpredictable entity and can depend vastly on the weather so you may well find on arrival there is very little ice but it could also be quite the contrast.
I would highly recommend as we did to arrive early in the morning as sadly tourists want "their souvenir photo" picking up and playing with the ice, therefore with it being picked up and dropped it gets broken and covered in sand. Sadly on our first arrival there was a group of young kids taking a lot of pleasure in walking around smashing it up for zero benefit - sadly tourists and their parents didn't care enough to stop them either!
Getting down there first thing in the morning was key for us, not only were we the first visitors that were on site but to have that peaceful view and moment of serenity was unforgettable!
