If parking at beach be warned ticket happy traffic wardens about!

点评：Paid to park and then spent 6 hours in and around Paignton spending money in various places on food and drink and entertainment etc. It is nice enough but quite run down and in need of some renovation. But was Ok for a weekend.
On return to my car had got a ticket. Spoke to traffic warden who was not the most pleasant lady and also seemed to be buzzing with glee with the amount of tickets she was giving out. Apparently I wasn’t parked completely within the bay. As they are doing up the beach front there was limited parking and the cars either side of me weren’t parked straight so had parked as best I could. I wasn’t obstructing anyone or causing anyone else not to be able to park or drive past but she gave me a ticket. I appealed and lost.
I will not be returning to Paignton! The council are supposed to be encouraging people to the area but instead charge people for some ridiculous reason despite me having paid to park.
So a word of warning if parking at the beach make sure you are 100% within your bay don’t be an inch out and don’t bother appealing any tickets.
