点评：We love the Union. We go every Tuesday for jazz. There's a guest ale, which tends to be our choice, along with a packet of dry roasted peanuts. It's a pub to go and enjoy music; the location is great. There's no food, but it's fine to pick up a takeaway and eat it in the pub. I have always found it to be very friendly; it has loyal regulars and for good reason. It's a real, genuine pub that has no pretensions and hosts live music on Tuesdays (jazz) and Saturdays (generally blues & rock n roll). It's very much an adults only pub; it makes no pretentions to be child friendly. But authentic it definitely is. I like the flag; it was painted long before right-wing bigots claimed it as their talisman. For me it has connotations of community jubilees and a time when life was simpler.
