点评:The NYBG is free for everyone on Wednesday mornings as long as you get there between 10-11. You are allowed to bring food and drinks, but food on site isn't too crazy expensive at around $14 for a sandwich. It was not very crowded but there were school kids there even that early. Taking the subway in the morning was quiet and easy. Bit of a long walk (20 minutes) to the NYBG gate but really not too bad. Going there it's downhill and back to the subway its uphill.
The Native garden is a must see and I love that they have a Shinnecock citizen's notes through out the forest trail. They have obviously worked to be inclusive of the Native community. We only saw a fraction of the garden and spent three hours here.
Unfortunately their gift shop had souvenirs that were all themed to events going on we weren't interested in and they didn't have anything that just simply said NYBG, no magnets or anything even after asking for help. We would've spent money if their buyer saw value in these.
