Great beach, creperie and kayaking

点评：There are three beaches in th coves, each of which is quite small, but all are beautiful with good swimming but limited shade.
There is a small car park with picnic tables above the beach from which steps lead down to the two eastern beaches. In the high season there is a bar at the top of the steps and for part of the low season a fantastic crepe van in the car park. At the time of year of our visit the crepe van (Hulala) was there but the bar was closed. I highly recommend the crepes, fresh orange juice and iced coffee at Hulala!
Great kayak tours can be taken from the beach (Benagil Kayaking) have a van in the car park - we did a two hour trip with them across to the Benagil cave and back exploring the arches and caves en-route. Andre was exceedingly helpful and Alvaro was an excellent guide.
The western beach is only accessible at low tide via a passageway on the western side of the beach on the right as you go down the wooden stairs.
I can imagine the beach would be busy in the high season but in mid May it was perfect. On the western beach we had it virtually to ourselves.
There is good walking along the cliff tops in both directions from the car park, although the walk to the west would be my choice with great views down to the arch.
