Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area的点评
点评：We camped on the New Jersey side, so drove in from the North.
Day 1 - We stopped at the Dingman Falls Visitor Center. It wasn't open since we were there pretty early. Took the very easy accessible hike. You get 2 waterfalls - Silver Thread & Dingmans. Both are very pretty with nice flows in August.
The Visitor Center was ok. Mostly gift shop with some small displays thrown in.
A volunteer was eager to give me hiking advice, but my husband is mobility challenged & the hike we took was all he was able to do.
Apparently parking is a big issue at the falls hikes. Get there early to do the one you want.
We drove down the road for a while. The views of the river are sparse. People want to drive much faster than the posted speed limit. The scenery was pleasant, but not outstanding.
We found Eshback access & finally got to look at the river. This is a boat launch, so we didn't stay long.
We were done after that & drove back the way we came.
Day 2 - stayed on the New Jersey side & did Old Mine Road from the North down to Millbrook Village. We couldn't do the south end due to a paving project that lasted all summer.
If I had more time I would do a couple more hikes. If you don't have a boat or kayak or don't fish that's all you would be doing anyway. I would check out more things on the South end of the park that I missed this time.
The 3 stars are basically for all the things that are CLOSED! They might have allowed me more time to spend in the park had they been open.
The 3 scenic lookouts on PA 611 - CLOSED (the whole road is closed due to a landslide & apparently that's pissing local people off).

如果我有更多时间，我会再徒步几次。如果你没有船或皮划艇，或者不钓鱼，那你无论如何都会这样做。我会去看看公园南端更多我这次错过的东西。
3 颗星基本上是针对所有关闭的东西！如果它们开放，他们可能会让我有更多时间在公园里度过。
