点评：Good trip. We arrived at approximately 2:30 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the museum. Admission into the museum was free, which is always a plus. There were guided tours of the house being held at various times throughout the day, and we were able to join the 2:45 pm tour. The tour guide was quite informative, and took us from room to room, explaining the various features and important artifacts in the house. The guided portion of the tour lasted roughly 1 hour. After the guided portion of the tour was over, the tour guide took us to the last room, which contained several informational plaques, detailing the restoration process and various additions made to the house. After viewing the house, we made our way back into the main building, where there were more informational plaques and artifacts for display. The informational plaques went over Garfield’s early years and his short time in office, before getting assassinated. There was also a short, 20 minute video playing that went over Garfield’s life and his accomplishment’s.
Tip: I recommend spending 2.5 hours here if you truly want to see everything.
