点评:We were out at Karahunj for about an hour. Karahunj is a 7500-year-old observatory known as the Armenian Stonehenge. In the neighborhood of 85 rocks strategically placed. It is a religious center centrally located in the Armenian mountains with snow covered peaks all around. The central rock faces east and has a hole in the top though which you can see the mountain peak in the distance. A companion rock with a hole gives you a view of the top of the east facing rock. A third rock also has a hole through which you can view the tops of the first two rocks. There is a large pile of rocks in the center of a circular ring of stones. This was said to have been a lodge or structure in the past. Human bones were supposedly found in this pile of rock. Wild flowers were in bloom adding color to the surrounding fields. Steven identified a bird at this site to be a black-headed wagtail.
