I finally left after almost five hours b/c I had to get to the basketball game...
印第安纳波利斯美术馆的点评
点评：Seriously, I arrived at 10.00am opening and left shortly before 3.00 and probably could have stayed longer. The only regret I have about the museum is that my art historian "friend" could not make the trip and explain things I missed about the art (instead I took pictures and we texted only to have her mad that she was not there! and making plans to return when she can join me.). The breadth and scope of the museum was simply amazing (& I found the docents incredibly engaging, friendly, polite, and knowledgeable--and seriously concerned about my "lost" hat).
I had no idea that the "LOVE" statue/painting was from Indianapolis (& had quite the conversation w/ a docent about that fact).
If your tastes run from the "Adirondack school" to the European classics to modern to Asian/Pacific to the portrait masters to statuary to some "off-the-wall" curiousities you will enjoy yourself as you can find all of that here. It is easy to get lost and was glad I had gotten a map when I registered (check as they have lots of reciprocals w/ other museums) but, for the most part, things are arranged by "style".
To say I was impressed w/ just the museum is an understatement. The grounds/gardens were magnificent and I thoroughly enjoyed strolling through the delightful paths and enjoying the blooms.
As I said we are already planning another visit (for me and a first for her) when we are able to get up there and I am looking forward to it w/ a knowledgeable guide.

说我对博物馆本身印象深刻都算是轻描淡写了。园区/花园美极了，我非常享受在迷人的小径上漫步，欣赏盛开的花朵。
正如我所说，我们已经在计划下次再来（这次是我，对她来说是第一次），等我们能去那里的时候，我很期待下次能有一位知识渊博的导游陪同。
