Indianapolis Zoo的点评
点评：Zoo is located near the downtown area and is a walkable distance especially if you do not have a vehicle. I visited during the week which was likely much less crowded than the weekends. No school groups that day , only day zoo camp kids. Many families with strollers and toddlers. Most of the crowds started to dissipate about 2 pm. I did not have young kids with me so I can’t rate the rides. The zoo has a very nice garden area near the butterfly garden with plenty of shade and a variety of plants and trees . The exhibits had facts about the animals well displayed although I would like to see a map on each animal to describe its natural geographic origin. Many staff and volunteers to help/assist/educate were available. Prices are higher than expected for food and drinks. Food options included burger, hotdog, fries, chicken wrap, salads,etc.
The animal enclosures were well maintained and soon to open is a giant tortoise exhibit. There is a lot of walking so be prepared with the heat/cold and proper shoes , hat and sunscreen esp for the kids and seniors.
My cost was about $25 and well worth it . I booked online and the digital ticket was a breeze. Thank you Indianapolis Zoo for keeping animals welfare education and conservation a priority.
