点评:We used to frequent this beach with our family and young children. We had not been for a few years (since the 2020 storms and shark attack) and I must say I should’ve looked on here first, one of the most recent reviews is extremely accurate.
Not much of a safe way to walk out to Fox island and back at low tide anymore, the Morse river deposit widens and deepens quickly and if you are not careful you can get stuck between the sandbar by Fox island and the Morse river and the shore… and the shore/beach at high tide is not nearly as wide as it used to be before. The coastline there is really changing and eroding. Also many many many many mosquitoes!!!!! The great white sightings, signage and bleeding control kit, along with quickly rising tides and unknown depths of tide pools or channels is kind of unnerving.
Plus sides are the bath houses with toilets and changing areas, and rinse showers. We probably won’t be back, as we didn’t feel as safe exploring with our children as we once did and the mosquitoes were a major nuisance, we killed at least 8 in the car on the way home!!
