点评：I had no idea that this was here! The man on reception said that they had started marketing the centre for the college, so maybe it is working!
The centre seems to be where the zoological course students get their practical experience, and it's much quieter than a large zoo! It was a pleasure to be able to wander round with no crowds and still enjoy seeing meerkats, wallabies, tamarins, reptiles etc. There is also a small farm with all the animals you would expect to see.
We didn't get to any of the talks, but they do offer them. We found it took us about an hour and a half to see everything, but it might well take longer with children. There is a cafe in the car park which was a bit basic, and didn't have a salad for me on my low carb diet, but it did decent coffee and sandwiches, pasta bowls, cakes, fruit etc so was fine for lunch. We would recommend the centre for an unusual and interesting half day out.
