点评：Good trip. We arrived at approximately 9:30 am and made our way inside the main building. The tickets were pricey and cost 19 dollars for each adult. We received a quick overview of the property and went on our way. We opted to view the town site first. There were roughly a dozen buildings located throughout the town, that contained artifacts out for display. The artifacts were meant to symbolize what life was like in the the 1870’s. There were employees located in several of the buildings, who were able to provide more insight about life during that time period. We were also able to see demonstrations in the printing press building and the broom making building. There were informational plaques located in several of the buildings as well, which went more into depth about what we were seeing in front of us. There was quite a bit of walking involved, as the buildings were pretty spaced apart.
After touring the town site, we opted to view the farm site. We waiting in a short line for the next available tractor to take us to the farm site. The tractor ride lasted roughly 10 minutes and we were dropped off at a 1700 themed farm. There were additional employees providing demonstrations and insight about the various forms of farming equipment used during that decade. We were also able to view a farm house and see different types of animals roaming around. We followed the walking path, and made our way through an 1850 themed farm and a 1900 themed farm. Once we were done sightseeing, we made our way towards the pickup point, where we waited for the tractor to take us back to the visitor center.
Tip: I recommend spending 3 hours here if you truly want to see everything.
