点评:We have done the free Staten Island Ferry before to pass by Liberty, but this time we wanted to go to the island and then onto Ellis Island. We had the My Citypass (this review is not a reflection on them) so used this to book tickets.
We had the 10am ticket which meant in theory we could join the security line up to an hour before. We arrived at around 9.15 and already the queue was going out into Battery Park. Again - this is fine (we are British so know to queue !!) but it was what I can only say disorganized and at times verging on dangerous. Having everyone funnelled from 6 abreast into one line with a lot of large adult groups (who seemed to think it was perfectly ok to barge children out of the way so their group could stay together - even when we advised our son has sensory challenges) was dangerous and it felt unsafe.
The ferry itself was fine and Statue of Liberty was great but we ended up missing out on Ellis Island as the number of groups allowed on the ferry and islands at one time meant it was uncomfortably busy.
Such a shame as it was to be a highlight of our trip.
