Goldrush Ballooning King Valley的点评
点评：This company is very organised and does its best to get you up for a trip if possible. We met in Benalla. They are very safety conscious, so start with releasing a weather balloon to determine the best place to take off. On this trip, Devenish, to see the local canola in full glory.
We were ferried to the take-off site where participants helped get the balloon ready for take-off. Then a safety talk and we sailed off into the blue yonder admiring the countryside below. It was quite amazing to see how heavily cropped the farming lands are.
Several passengers were locals and added very interesting comments on the area.
The balloon was maneuvered to get better and more diverse views. Landing was a bit unexpected as finding a landing site was difficult due to how intensely the land was farmed. But the backup vehicles were there amazingly quickly and contacted the local farmer with one of the "locals" to ensure all was OK. Everyone helped in the packing up process, giving a real insight into this side of ballooning.
We finished off with chocolates and a King Valley Prosecco (local wine) or juice, while listening to a brief history of ballooning. Then were ferried back to where we met.
All in all a super day and a trip I hope to take again :) :)
