Hawknest tubing was a good time

点评：Hawksnest tubing was good for our group of 11. Be sure to book in advance around holidays because they fill up. Basically, we bought tickets in advance and lined up in designated area after picking up passes. Every tubing place in area is a bit expensive and this one was roughly the same as the others. Top 2 hills were good. Be sure to slow yourself down w feet/hands before you hit wall if you decide to go head first. We saw lots of people slam into snow/ice bank. We had fun and safe time. The bottom hills were muddy, slow, and you couldn't reach end of track so those aren't worth your time unless it's more snowy than this past holiday season. It was a nice time for our group. Facilities were fine and we had no problems with staff. Food was what you'd expect but they gave out free pretzels to our group because their were closing for the evening.
Hawksnest was better tubing than Beech (where you can slide out of control over top if you don't slow down, although we love skiing/snowboarding at Beech Mountain) but not quite as good as Sugar tubing. Although I've seen some complains online, we had no issues whatsoever with the staff. The staff was friendlier than other businesses in area such as White Wolf Lodge (on Beech Mountain) where management is rude, unprofessional, and incompetently loses receipts and harasses guests.
If you want to have some fun tubing, Hawknest is a good option.
