Really enjoyed our stop in Rogoznica.
Promenade of Rogoznica的点评
点评：Had an overnight stay in Rogoznica whilst on a cruise of the Dalmatian coast and thought it was a really nice place. We were on a tour companies yacht and not a private one, so we were moored on the island section opposite the posh Marina Frapa , ideally situated for the bars and restaurants on this section.
Instead of doing the promenade around this island section we decided to head for the opposite headland, initially across the road bridge then around the bay past the beach ( look out for the gelato shop that lays back from the beach, it’s a good one), through the Marina and all the way to the end of the headland where the Promenade finishes. However from here I would recommend to continue climbing the path upwards to get to the small Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the large red entrance marker to the bay that you would have seen if you came by boat. It affords some great views. And then on the way back, if you are equipped with decent walking shoes taking one of the paths through the forest to the Blue Bay, a beautiful small turquoise water bay that is really only accessible by boat.
From the small tourist information office on the island section to the Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary is about a 30 to 40 minute walk each way. But probably budget for gelato stops and several photo stops as the views across the marina and from the headland back to the island are very scenic.
Another highlight was the small fishing boats that returned to the Fishing port section to the left of the end of the road bridge as it joins the island. This was around 5.00pm and interesting to see them sorting the catch and the locals purchasing it, all under the watchful gaze of what appeared to be every cat in Rogoznica.
