点评:Slowly breathe in the sea air... listen to the waves and enjoy what lies before you. I drove into the very large carpark and I was the only person there. It was mid-week.
I walked towards the lookout and noted a set of stairs leading to the beach, but at the current time, they are closed off.
I looked out, whilst standing at the top of those stairs, to the stunning contrasts that lay before me... blue/green sea, desaturated yellows, olive green bushes... and you can see a pier. Nearby there was a magpie that industriously kept busy, but appeared to have no fear of me whilst I stood there admiring his bold plumage and intense beak.
At the lookout itself there is a cairn that was erected to commemorate the public service of Alex Laker, a councillor of the Borough of Queenscliffe from 1951 to 1969. The cairn was placed here in 1971 and will let you know how far you are from Antartica or Port Arthur in Tasmania.
It's a really relaxing place that allows you to reset and reflect. The lookout is very easy to access.
