Maryland Center for History and Culture的点评
点评：The Center has a fine collection of portraits of historic Marylanders painted by members of the famous Peale family and other memorabilia. But my visit was marred by shabby treatment at the ticket counter. After I paid the $10 admission, the staff demanded my name. This was a strange request, there was no need for my name, so I refused. The cashier then embarrassed me, belittling my choice not to give my name and implying I was holding up the line of waiting visitors. A nearby staff member added, triumphantly, that they would just get my name from my credit card (though I paid in cash). I don’t like giving low ratings based on one bad experience, which may not be characteristic of a site. But I have reached out to the Center to talk about this interaction and they have ignored me. I think the Center has earned their two-star rating.
