点评:This May we stayed at the Crow Valley campsite at the Pawnee National grasslands in two tents with our family of four. The grounds were meticulously maintained. The restrooms were clean. There was a bit of a rain shelter with a picnic table and several other picnic tables outside that shelter. There was a grill as well as a campfire site with a partial grill over it. Bring your own wood, but there might be a supply of wood there as well. There was a pump to obtain water, but we assumed it was not drinkable so we only used it for cooking and washing hands.
We enjoyed the cacophony of birds throughout the day that went quiet at night, but resumed again at 4 o’clock in the morning. The half mile trail that leads from the campground was also quite nice. It had started to green up after the little bit of rain they had had the spring. We saw a wild turkey with her chicks, a hawk, and lots of redwing blackbirds.
What we did not enjoy was the quite loud noise from the trucks going down the nearby highway. They all seemed to be using their engines to decelerate. That truck noise went on all night..
