点评：My wife and I tried visiting here in 2021, but at that time it was $20 cash only per vehicle, and we didn't have that on us at the time, so we passed on it rather than driving a bit of a distance to the nearest ATM.
Since then, my wife has passed away, and I was by myself this time. The entry fee has gone up to $25 per vehicle, and there are kiosks available to pay at with a credit or debit card.
Basically, Custer State Park is highway 87, a winding road through the Black Hills of South Dakota. There are lodges, campgrounds, a playhouse, trails, pullouts for views, three one lane tunnels, wildlife and a lookout tower. I only drove through, and still had a great time. How long you stay depends upon what you plan on doing: whether you are camping here, are staying at a lodge, or if you stop at the playhouse. Driving through realistically takes about an hour and a half, although it can be done in 45 minutes if you don't get out of your car, but that makes no sense since it's not a shortcut by any means. I recommend allowing at *least* two hours if you are just driving through. There is plenty to stop and see along the way.
