点评：Do NOT visit in the summer months! I read the various reviews and based on them looked like a great place to visit with the kids during their school holidays. What all the reviews omitted was that there is a locked steel boom across the road at the bottom car park when we visited. (I assume that the road is locked off with a big chain and 3 different locks during the summer months). This means that you need to park your car approx 1.5km from the footbridge and either walk up along the banks of the river - which was difficult for a 10 year old - and not much fun at all in 35C heat with lots and lots of flies or walk the 1,5km odd along the road. The river, whilst still pretty, consisted of a number of small shallow pools with a fair amount of algae in some of them. We walked up the footbridge along the river to the bridge and across it. By that stage everyone was extremely hot and sticky. We walked back along the dirt and then tar road to the bottom car park having to climb a large hill right at the end which was not at all fun. I think in the cooler winter months when the river is flowing and you are able to drive up to the footbridge, it would be a nice place to visit. I really do not understand the logic of locking the road boom across the road. Turned what could have been a reasonable trip to a very unpleasant experience in summer Definitely not worth the 40 odd minute drive out of the city during summer
