Wonderful facility to spend a few hours in October weekday afternoon

点评：It was very easy to find the aquarium, located in an area that is just gorgeous and very pedestrian friendly. We really enjoyed the $8 park all day fee at the garage. It was spacious and sheltered from the sun and weather. After our visit, we walked everywhere and got dinner in the evening. $8 for all day seemed very reasonable for Long Beach area, that can be very spending.
The aquarium itself was very clean and nicely organized. We really enjoyed the fish tanks and exhibits. Outdoor areas are nice, especially the sting ray and shark pool. There were a lot of hands on opportunities. Also liked the lorikeets enclosure where you could feed the colorful birds sweet nectar. They land right on you and you could get very close and take wonderful photos.
The otters and seals/sea lions shows were alright. We felt those tanks were not the best, it would have been better if you could view from above the otters like some other aquariums.
The whole facility was just large enough to enjoy the entire afternoon here and find plenty of things to do. Note that we came on a Thursday afternoon, it was not crowded at all. Very enjoyable. Make sure you allow time to walk around the whole area. Beautiful part of Long Beach.
