Gateway Arch - incredible views!

点评：We visited the Gateway Arch first thing on a Saturday morning as a couple - booked online about a month in advance, around $19 each. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to St. Louis.
The process was very straightforward. We went through security, had our tickets scanned and then waited around 10 minutes for the tram. The tram itself is quite small and we shared with another couple, but we found it perfectly fine. As someone who is quite claustrophobic, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable I felt during the journey.
The ride to the top takes approximately 4 minutes, with around 3 minutes coming back down. Once at the top, the views are absolutely spectacular. I also have a fear of heights, but surprisingly didn’t feel scared at all during the experience.
You get around 10 minutes at the top to take in the views before heading back down. It’s not a long visit at the top, but it’s plenty of time to enjoy the incredible scenery and take some photos.
The museum at the bottom is good and definitely worth allowing time to explore. There is lots to see, with interesting and interactive exhibits about the history of the Gateway Arch and St. Louis. The staff throughout the attraction were also very helpful and friendly.
The gift shop was another nice surprise, with a great selection of souvenirs at reasonable prices. We also really appreciated the excellent air conditioning, especially as we visited on a very hot day!
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend the Gateway Arch, even if you’re claustrophobic or nervous about heights. The views, museum and overall experience make it well worth visiting
