点评:Four of us visited the Lyman Allyn Museum. The exhibit on the second floor of Tiffany Art was wonderful. There were several film clips that explained Tiffany’s life and his work. They had a few stained glass windows, which were absolutely beautiful. The whole exhibit was very tasteful, interesting and delightful.
The problem began when we went to the first floor, which is their permanent exhibit. Upon opening a glass door we were hit with an odor that was so noxious my friends immediately left choking and experiencing stinging eyes. My husband and I raced through the exhibit having this terrible odor to contend with. We went to the front desk afterward, and asked what the problem was. It was explained to us that they have had this problem for several years and have tried to deal with it with no success. I absolutely do not understand how this museum can be kept open with this situation. Besides impacting us, I cannot understand how people can work there continually being exposed to this.
I would not recommend going to this museum under these circumstances. It is a shame since I think it could be a lovely experience if not for this major problem
