点评：We booked a 6D5N tour with 1stopborneo to Tawau Hills Park, Maliau Basin and Plant4Elephants. It was a trip of one highlight after the other. Apart from seeing the most amazing wildlife (clouded leopard, gibbons, binturong, 5 species of hornbills, flying squirrels, colugos, red leafs, pitta, Argus pheasant, elephants, flat headed cat, tarsier and much more), we learned a lot about the animals, the flora and the conservation work of 1stopborneo who is working together with plantation owners to create wildlife corridors in order to connect pristine rainforest with other pristine rainforest. For instance the 14 km long wildlife corridors between Tawau and Danum Valley. We were impressed by the conservation work, the employees determination and enthusiasm. It is wonderful to support 1stopborneo and seeing their work making an impact on Sabah's biodiversity.

We had the most amazing guides: Lediman, Jenny and Yulinda. Yulinda travelled with us to Maliau Basin. She is not only a very skilled guide, but also a very pleasant person to travel with. She is calm and can explain everything very well. It was wonderful to see her face after spotting her first clouded leopard: it was priceless!

Whereas we did mostly walks in Tawau (morning, afternoon and evening with guide, daytime without guide to the waterfall and sulphur springs (well marked trails)), Maliau Basin was about afternoon and night drives. That road was excellent for wildlife spotting and viewing the 50 shades of green of trees in the hilly area. Sunrise with the ever changing morning fog was breathtaking.
