点评:We have been frequent visitors of Dunfermline in the past, but this newest addition is certainly something to rave about. The views from the upstairs galleries can't be beat, and there are even spaces for one to sit and relax and just gaze out the windows.
I noted in one room that there is a hook mounted on the wall that holds portable chairs, so one can take a seat, pop it up, and sit and rest while reading through the various information displays. So clever!
The upstairs features a time line through history pertaining to Dunfermline, and a very clever question and answer board. Also, artifacts that have been collected over time that pertain to the city as well.
In addition, there is a section devoted to the many contributions of Andrew Carnegie who was born in Dunfermline, and who gave away his fortune for the betterment of others.
There is also a cafe, and a gift shop, in addition to the huge library section that we never even entered!
I can't recommend this enough. There is no charge for admittance, and this is a perfect place to explore if you are a history buff.
