Edisto River Adventures的点评
点评：Let me tell, just don't...
We did the river float adventure last year, had a great time. Also felt safe because they had people all along process checking on you. Up and down river someone on jet ski would stop and ask how you were and give you an idea how fast river you were.... but something changed in past year because that was not today:
Sign stated at sign in at 10:40 2 1/2-3 1/2 hours
- so this would mean we'd finish about 2:30 or so... totally sounded fun
- At 3:30 we realized we had a problem, for whatever reason our floats kept getting pushed back down river with wind and we were getting passed by other groups
- One guy in bright shirt on jet ski flew by us (all of us each group) and never checked on a one and nothing stated he was with Edisto River Adventures
- We did have adequate water for 3 1/2 hours, but not for what would turn into 5 hours
- When we called state park from where business is located, they were shocked and appalled that we were still on the water. They personally went to Edisto office to find it was closed! Yes- Edisto had paying customers on the water and no one available to help in case of an emergency.
- The park person happened to have a personal phone number of an Edisto worker for me to call. When I called- the number didn't go through but the person called back and promised to send a jet ski person to check on us....
That person never showed up- instead we got help from another group going by with similar problem (and a storm starting in background) and LITERALLY the group had to walk and paddle the whole group to the Edisto landing! Yes, your customers saved themselves!
Again, we've had a great experience in the past, but never again.
Things that could change:
1. An emergency number for customers and Givhans ferry park
2.a reliable number or communication to landing site
3. Continuous patrol by Edisty River adventures of.... the River
4. A check of list at the landing of customers to see if anyone hasn't appeared
