点评:Our family has camped at Silver Springs for decades with wonderful times and memories- however this was the worst experience ever due to the rude Camp Hosts. We had been used to the left side campsites being Reserved and the right side being First Come First Serve. The website and Camp Info Board at the entrance say the same thing. There is nothing to let us campers know all sites have to be reserved online.
But when we arrived we found all sites had to be Reserved. The Camp Hosts were not there that day. We found 1 site that was not marked as Reserved, but we still were concerned so we knocked on the other Host's RV. He said he couldn't help us with anything. So we proceeded to set up in the site. That afternoon the Park Supervisor showed up and told us the site we were in was reserved and we had to move. We said the sign had no dates on it, but we understood. It was a pleasant conversation.
We moved to the only other site that was available for 1 night. Next day the Camp hosts showed up and we told them we'd check availability at other campgrounds & be out of the site by noon. We arrived back after finding no other campgrounds had anything available, but we were 20 minutes past noon. We packed up and upon leaving that site we found another site that had an OPEN (available) sign, so we pulled into that site. The Camp Hosts lied & had just told my wife 10 minutes earlier there were no other sites available when they were the ones who changed the sign & knew it was available. When my wife said the sign says Open, the female Camp Host yelled at her, I came over and asked her not to talk to my wife that way- then she shouted that we were being kicked out of the campground for being "trouble makers" !
This is totally unacceptable behavior for Camp Hosts when we did nothing wrong. In our opinion these Camp Hosts should not have this job. Our family had a terrible time all due to the Camp Hosts and we left for another campground in Packwood.
We still love the campground itself, but we will not return until these current Camp Hosts are no longer employed here.
