点评：Deceptively large - if occasionally confusing layout. Also includes historic, furnished Pendleton House, which is a Georgian mansion filled with the roughly period collection of a later owner. RISD has a collection with considerable breadth, not all the focused on 'design', rather more a traditional survey museum with spotlighted modern collections. Some particularly strong European art, Greek/Roman and Asian collections. Allow a fair amount of extra time for parking and the resulting walk if you want to park for free on the street. You can, but you need to seek out neighborhood up fairly steep hills and not immediately adjacent. However, the walk will be pretty with lots of historic houses in/around College Hill. Not inexpensive at $22, but there's enough to see that you can spend 2.5 maybe 3 hours if moving at a moderate pace, stopping to read some - but not all - information.
