点评：Barton Hill are part of the stretch of hills that include Sharpenhoe Clappers and Pegsdon Hills.
The hills are just on the edge of Barton Le Clay and can be reached from a road just off Hexton Road. There is a bit of parking but it is on dirt and I imagine when the weather is bad it could be a challenge to get out of some of the dips.
You can walk across the playing field and pass the graveyard to access the hills or take a more picturesque walk past Barton Springs which are in a lovely little wooded area.
The hills are a bit of a steep climb and could be a challenge if you are not used to walking. Parts have wooden staircases which are a help. Again I imagine if the weather is bad it could be quite dangerous getting up or down.
Once you get to the top of the hills you will be rewarded with glorious views of the Bedfordshire (and a little of Hertfordshire) countryside.
There are plenty of wild flowers to discover on the hills and also some horses. Most seemed friendly but be careful. They are wild so may be a bit skittish.
