点评：We spent the afternoon at Magnolia Plantation, and without question, the most powerful part of our visit was the Slavery to Freedom tour. It’s not just another tour, it’s something every American should experience. It provides an honest, unfiltered look at a history that is often difficult to confront, but incredibly important to understand.
Our guide, John, was exceptional. His depth of knowledge was remarkable, but what truly set him apart was the way he told the story with clarity, respect, and genuine care. He has a rare gift for presenting painful truths in a way that keeps you fully engaged, thoughtful, and deeply moved. You could feel how much this history mattered to him, and it made the experience that much more meaningful.
As for the boat tour, unless you’re really into birdwatching, it’s something you could skip. The guide was really passionate and did a great job though!
