点评:We had been to the tunnel about 5 years ago but thought it was definitely worth another visit. The road leading to the tunnel was in good condition and there's a picnic area with a lot of written information about the men who worked on the tunnel. It was an amazing achievement for those times. It is the longest unsupported tunnel ever built in Qld.
Even though it's a long time since trains have used the area it is good the history of the area has been preserved for people to see. The tunnel is worthy of a visit. Bats inhabit the tunnel now. A car can be driven through the tunnel and there is a very rough country road that takes one through the country and returns to the Gin Gin Mt Perry road but its not advised for everyone to travel it as one needs to open and close farm gates on the journey.
