蒙特利湾水族馆的点评
点评：I came here at the recommendation of my whale watching guide, MJ, to see the deep sea exhibit and it was worth it! I was very excited to run into MJ volunteering there as she was able to make more recommendations like catching the albatross encounter (Makana is so cool!) and catching one of the auditorium programs, which are included in the admission price, so you can see any it all of them! The new humpback whale migration video looked just like my whale watching trip from the day before and MJ told me that she had watched the aquarium filming the whales on the water, so I knew this was local footage and not random whales from Alaska or Australia. The exhibits are really incredible. I was mesmerized by the swaying kelp forest, the aviary with full of energetic shorebirds, the open sea with the huge sardine school is amazing to see (don't miss the 11am feeding!), and the deep sea exhibit is beautiful with all kinds of odd and fascinating species on display. I will certainly visit again when the renovated space reopens.
