点评:Built by one of Boston's richest merchants, this was the commercial center of colonial Boston. Not only was it one of the first public markets in New England, but it was also one of the great public meeting places in Colonial America. The building you see today is the Bullfinch creation that added more than 50% and became the great meeting places of the 1800s in New England. However, it started as a market on the first floor and public meeting house above and with its proximity to the docks, the perfect place for the city's mercantile center.
The building is currently undergoing renovations, but it is still one of the premier attractions to the Freedom Trail. We started our Freedom Trail experience here after eating at Quincy Marketplace. While the ground floor NPS store is neat to see, don't miss the upstairs. You enter from the east side facing Quincy Market by just opening the door that leads to an interesting set of stairs. Also be sure to visit the west side with the statue of Samuel Adams.
