Enjoyed our beginner ride
Specimen Creek Outfitters的点评
点评：We went to Specimen Creek Outfitters to give our 6.5 yr old daughter her first riding experience. Spoke to them on the phone to ask some questions & make the reservation. We were staying in Gardiner, so getting to their ranch was easy.
Once there, the guides took care of everything, and were especially nice with our daughter. She was hesistant at first, but by the end, she loved it.
The actual ride was an out-and-back. We were going fairly slowly, for my daughter's benefit, so we didn't go out that far, distance-wise, before turning back. But for this ride, that wasn't the point. We weren't looking for an exhilarating ride, just to let my daughter try something new. To that end, our ride was perfect. If you're experienced, I imagine they would tailor the route to go on more advanced trails or go faster.
Note that as of our visit at the end June 2024, other places I had checked out had a minimum age of 7+ to ride, apparently related to insurance policies.
