点评:This property is operated by a Massachusetts nonprofit called The Trustees of the Reservations. We are members, but non-members can also visit (cost is higher and advance tickets through their website are recommended).
As longtime New England residents, we finally visited this museum and took an advance scheduled 45-minute guided tour. The tour guide was professional and very knowledgeable, answering a number of questions. This home has been a museum since 1939 and there there are many interesting stories to learn about its historical occupants. The property is adjacent to an original battle site from the American Revolutionary War, and was also the home to important authors from the American Existentialist movement centered around Concord, MA. The house and many furniture items are interesting and preserved in their original state. This experience is best for adults, younger children might struggle to maintain interest although other tours we did not take may be better options for families. Overall a great experience for visitors with interest in the property's history.
