Worst Dining Experience Ever

点评：Part of a booked and prepaid Melbourne Cup Function with a request to sit inside in the air-conditioning. Upon arrival our party was placed outside in the heat with no fan ventilation. As were three other large parties who had also been asked to sit inside. We were the furthest from the Buffet Lunch and could not hear any of the entertainment.
Made a complaint to the gentleman who was supposed to be Head of House. What a joke! He was rude and very unhelpful. It wasn't until the other bookings complained that we were eventually moved inside in the cool.
The plates in the stack for the purpose of selecting from the Buffet were greasy and wet.
The bread rolls that were placed next to the dirty plates had been stored under the same table and were beyond the Best Before Date. My roll was stogy and tasted sour and I could not eat it.
The Head of House made no effort to assist our party and was rude to one lady who challenged his logic that he couldn't put two tables together inside to seat our party.
No apology; no attempt to resolve the issue; no token of compensation for the club's service such as a coffee or drink.
I have never been so poorly treated by any club dining that I have attended in almost 50 years.
I would never recommend this venue and the kitchen hygiene left a lot to be desired. Nobody likes to eat off wet greasy plates.
