点评：The Taupo weather forecast for the week was overcast with rain increasing, so it was a pleasant surprise when the morning fog lifted to reveal blue skies.
We called Chopperworx to ascertain availability based on the reviews we read, the flight paths shown online and what we perceived to be fair value. Carl answered the phone promptly and was more than happy to get us into the air asap.
Within an hour of our initial call, we lifted off and headed over the steep cliff side marveling at the scenery. As the steep cliffs fell away and gave rise to towering peaks in the distance, we passed by craggy hills, and flew over the expanse of Lake Taupo.
We booked the Tongariro National Park trip, details of which are on the Chopperworx website so we won’t list them here. The hour long or so flight was impressive, filled with spectacular sights and views. Prior to our flight, we also added on an extra section over Huka Falls which was well worth it.
The perspective of looking down onto the volcanic peaks is magnificent. Carl pointed out key points of interest and shared his love for the region, which was clear to discern.
All in all, we would highly recommend this trip with Carl from Chopperworx.
