BUYER BEWARE! Don’t expect refund of VAT Tax

点评：While on our Insight tour of Ireland and Scotland, the Insight tour stopped at Macken of Ireland so we could browse and purchase items if we wished. We did purchase a special ring costing almost €2,000 for my wife as we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. The cost included VAT Tax of €367 which we were assured would be refunded once we completed the necessary paperwork. We promptly completed and returned paperwork to Macken as instructed and now, over seven months later, we still have not received any refund. More disappointing however, is that Macken has NEVER EVEN RESPONDED to any of our emails requesting follow up. We emailed Macken four months after our purchase, and again after six months and absolutely no reply. DON’T expect getting a refund of VAT Tax!
