Lovely week's vacation enjoyed here in early June

点评：We came here for a week in early June. We weren't really sure what to expect but we soon found out that this was more or less ideal for us, being a young couple in our 60's. There is a nice harbour for small boats which creates a nice atmosphere. There is a plethora of restaurants and bars surrounding the harbour. We tried many of them and weren't disappointed.
Close by is a lovely little beach with white sand, crystal clear, blue water and plenty of rocks to explore with your snorkel in the cove. I liked the Australian style lifeguard keeping an eye on the swimmers. I didn't see anywhere to hire sun beds or parasols which was good. All I needed was my towel and unfettered access to the sea.
This is a quiet resort which seemed to be frequented by older couples or younger ones pushing babies & small children in prams. No discos, clubs or places with loud music. English seemed to be the main language spoken.
In addition to the bars and restaurants there are a number of well stocked supermarkets, souvenir shops and places to rent cars, motor cycles, etc.
There is also an excellent, very cheap bus connection to the local town on this west side of the island. It takes a rather slow, meandering route into town but why hurry when you're on vacation.
We enjoyed our week here.
